Publication agreement
The terms an author accepts when submitting a manuscript to the journal.
Version 1.0 — last updated 2026-10-16
This is an agreement between Journal of Peer-Reviewed Scientific Research (“the journal”) and the submitting author together with any co-authors (“the author”). By submitting a manuscript, the author confirms having read this agreement and accepted its terms.
1 — Originality and prior publication
The author confirms that the manuscript is original work, that neither it nor any substantial part of it has been published elsewhere, and that it is not under consideration by another venue. Conference abstracts, graduate theses, and preprints do not count as prior publication, provided the author discloses them at submission.
2 — Copyright and licence
The author retains full copyright. Copyright is not transferred to the journal.
The author grants the journal a non-exclusive licence to publish the work for the first time, to store and archive it, to make it publicly available, and to deposit its metadata with indexing and identifier services.
Accepted articles are published under the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence, which permits anyone to copy, distribute, and build upon the work, including commercially, provided the author is credited and the source is cited. This licence cannot be revoked after publication, though the author may request retraction under clause 8.
The author may deposit the published version in an institutional repository, a personal website, or any scholarly network without seeking permission, citing the published version in the journal.
3 — Authorship and order
The submitting author confirms that everyone named made a scholarly contribution warranting authorship, that all named authors have seen and approved the submitted version and the order of names, and that no contributor has been omitted.
Adding, removing, or reordering authors after acceptance requires a written request from all authors and the approval of the editorial board.
4 — Research ethics and similarity
The author undertakes to observe research ethics, to keep the similarity rate below 20%, and to document every quotation and borrowing in APA style. The author bears sole responsibility for any plagiarism, fabrication, or falsification of data.
Where the manuscript contains third-party material — an image, a table, or an extended quotation — the author must obtain written permission from the rights holder and produce it on request.
5 — Conflicts of interest and funding
The author discloses any financial, professional, or personal interest that could influence the results or their interpretation, together with any funding body and grant number.
6 — Review and the publication decision
Manuscripts undergo initial screening followed by double-blind review by at least two specialist reviewers. The decision to publish or reject rests with the editorial board alone; it is final, and the journal is not obliged to give detailed reasons.
The author may withdraw the manuscript at any time before acceptance by notice through their account.
7 — Responsibility for content
Views expressed in published articles are those of their authors and do not represent the journal or its publisher. The author bears full responsibility for the accuracy of the data and findings presented, and for any claim arising from a breach of this agreement.
8 — Correction and retraction
The journal follows COPE guidance on corrections and retractions. After notifying the author, the journal may publish a correction, issue an expression of concern, or retract an article where plagiarism, fabrication, duplicate publication, or a fundamental error invalidating the findings is established.
A retracted article is not deleted: its page and file remain online with a visible retraction notice, preserving the scholarly record.
9 — Fees
The journal charges no submission, review, or publication fees. Any change to this clause will be announced on the publication policies page and will not apply to manuscripts submitted before the announcement.
10 — Preservation and access
The journal preserves published articles, their files, and their metadata, and makes them freely available to all without subscription or registration.
11 — Personal data
The author's personal data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy, which forms part of this agreement.
12 — Effect and amendment
Each manuscript is governed by the version of this agreement in force at the time of its submission, and the author's acceptance is recorded together with that version number and date. Later amendments do not apply retroactively.
13 — Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its competent courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
